COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION FAQs

What types of commercial projects does JR Maxwell Builders handle?

JR Maxwell Builders works on a wide range of commercial projects, including restaurants, hospitality spaces, retail properties, and historic renovations. Our experience includes projects such as the Ghost Light Inn, Stella Restaurant, Ferry Market, Carversville Inn, Artifact Brewery, Main Swing Rooftop, Carriage House, and Penn Tap Room. We have also completed restoration and addition work at the historic Bucks County Playhouse, bringing the same attention to craftsmanship and detail to commercial projects that we do to our residential work.

Can you renovate occupied commercial space?

Yes. JR Maxwell Builders can carefully phase construction to help minimize disruption while your business remains in operation. Whenever possible, we coordinate our work around your hours, customer traffic, and day-to-day operations, developing a schedule that allows the project to move forward while reducing the impact on your employees and customers.

Do you provide design-build services?

Yes, to an extent. JR Maxwell Builders offers in-house design support for projects such as kitchens, bathrooms, custom cabinetry, and other remodeling work. For projects that require more extensive architectural or engineering documentation, we work closely with trusted local architects and engineers to coordinate the design and construction process from start to finish.

How do you keep commercial projects on schedule?

We closely track project milestones so potential issues can be identified and addressed early rather than becoming delays later in the process. On larger commercial projects, we also utilize regular project meetings to keep the full team aligned on construction progress, planning, design, upcoming decisions, and next steps. This ongoing coordination helps maintain momentum and keeps everyone working toward the same schedule.
